IB Website

This website is probably the most creative thing I have done so far in high school. I was provided with a blank webpage and hardly any guidelines, allowing my imagination to run free. I started off with trying to find a theme that I could use to create all the pages and unify the site. I decided to run off of the idea of the 7 wonders of the world and chose different iconic sites around the world to represent each page. I got this idea also from the view of the International Baccalaureate program that promotes global thinkers and students to have a connection with their communities. After deciding on the theme, I proceeded to design the site. I had never used wix.net, the site I was using. So I played around with all the different tools in the program for a while until I understood how everything worked. I used my own background and design by selecting different places on the map. I chose the things I would include on the site based on what I thought was necessary for a student and parent in the IB program to know. The main purpose of the site is to inform and that’s what I designed the website to do. I also attempted to make it aesthetically pleasing while making it user friendly and easy to figure out. Hopefully I will be able to complete it soon and see what others think about it.
